Melbourne-born and bred, Starward founder David Vitale had a simple vision, to create a distinctly Australian Whisky to offer the world with pride.
In 2007 it all started with the curiosity to try and taste. With some of the best red wine barrels in the world in our backyard and quality ingredients and materials all within a day's drive from Melbourne, we tried something new and never looked back.
We proudly represent Melbourne, from the intensely reactive climate which ages and matures our whisky, to our quintessential approach to drinking and dining- broad, eclectic, and an option for everyone. Our whiskies don't come with airs and graces. Instead, they go well with food.
