With a history going back to 1330 when it was just a fortified dungeon, the name of Chateau Giscours was first associated with wine in 1552, before gaining worldwide renown through the 1855 classification. Located on one of the greatest soils of the Margaux appellation, the vineyard of Giscours stretches over 4 hills of the greatest and clay: Le Grand and Petit Poujeau, Cantelaude, Belair giving a terroir of rare homogeneity. A wine as dense as velvety, elegant, and delicate composed by the emblematic gape varieties of the Margaux appellation.
